Webroot Anti-Virus
We’re excited to update you about our transition to Webroot, an anti-virus service that is going to provide coverage for more clients while offering the same high level of service you expect from Provident Technology.
Though new to us, Webroot has been around since 1997 and has received numerous awards. Our decision was driven by Webroot’s highly rated performance and its ability to run on networks without requiring a management server. Webroot provides real-time threat detection, meaning it can proactively protect against new security threats as they’re detected. It is also a much lighter solution, so it won’t slow down your machines or interrupt productivity when virus scans run.
Webroot will run on top of the existing installation of Malware bytes on all our clients’ machines. This dual-layer threat protection comes at no cost and is included in all of our managed services packages. Clients will notice the transition throughout the month of April when the “W” icon starts appearing in your Windows system tray.
